Lycoming R680-17 was overhauled by Radial Engines LTD with 90 hours SMOH at the time of the accident. The airframe was meticulously refurbished in 1999 and has many new parts including REDLINE brakes, Jasco Alternator, new instrumenst in both cockpits, etc. The fuselage has upper firewall damage.
