The aircraft is 1 of 5 that were being scratch built at EAA Chapter 292. 3 of the 5 were sold and shipped overseas uncompleted. This is the only flying example of the original 5 and may be the only flyable DH 2 remaining in the world (there are at least 2 replicas in museums). Aircraft is authentic in appearance down to the most minor detail with concessions to improved materials in fuselage and a VW waterboxer engine.
